Safe agitation guidelines from the HSA:

1. Agitate on windy days
2. Remove all livestock and control pets
3. Open all doors and control access
4. Agitate/ventilate & stay away for 30 minutes
5. Work upwind at all times
6. Do not enter tanks – even when empty
7. Keep tank openings secure at all times
8. If possible, avoid agitating alone.
